2-year-old Shivraj has been diagnosed with chronic liver disease. Doctors have said he needs an urgent liver transplant to make a full recovery from his disease. However, his parents, coming from a poor background, are in no position to pay Rs 20 lakh ($ 26915.88) to support the treatment of their only child. This reality has broken them on the inside. When Shivraj was born they were extremely thankful to the Gods for bestowing them with such a blessing. Today when they sit in the hospital corridor in complete despair they try to remember the good days - Shivraj laughing and enjoying himself in their arms.

Aditya was suffering from Wilson’s disease – a genetic disorder that caused copper built up in his liver. Aditya’s mom was a perfect match as a donor, but the family couldn’t afford the cost of the procedure.Even after borrowing money from relatives, the parents had used up almost all their savings on his first two hospital visits. We contributed 3 lakhs to the family and raised another 3 lakhs through crowdsourcing. Today, Aditya is fully cured and is living a newly gifted childhood.

Aryan is our first and only child. We had been waiting excitedly for his arrival for months. I thought the day he was born would be the happiest of my life. Unfortunately, it was the day that all our suffering began. A few days after his birth, Aryan was diagnosed with jaundice. I had barely got any time with my newborn when he was taken away from me.The nurses had noticed that Aryan’s skin and eyes were pale, and so they took him to be tested for jaundice. I prayed that his condition wouldn’t be serious and the doctors assured me that it was common for newborns to be diagnosed with jaundice. My husband and I did everything we could to ensure that Aryan had all the medical care he needed. ”Thankfully, after a few weeks, he recovered and was discharged from the NICU.

When I held him for the first time, I was very careful. His eyes were closed and he was sleeping peacefully. I held his little hands and kissed them. I thanked the Gods for blessing us with a child. Since then, I’ve spent every moment thinking about his well being. The responsibility of parenthood is huge but watching our child smile at us made it all seem worth it. But all of this joy disappeared the day we found out that he’s dying. My 5-month-old son, Rudransh has been recently diagnosed with CLD Budd Chiari syndrome. This is a rare & deadly liver disease caused by blood clot in the liver. Due to the presence of the blood clot, blood flow is obstructed which leads to severe complications.
